Why RaiderComm?

By: Taylor Miller

When choosing classes for my junior year of college, I knew I wanted to brand out. I wanted to find something that was a little out of my comfort zone and that would challenge me to use the skills I already had and develop new ones. I knew RaiderComm was the perfect opportunity for me because it would allow me to do these things and so much more.

Working as a student manager for the marketing department within Texas Tech University Hospitality Services has shown me that getting hands-on experience is the best way to learn. Being in RaiderComm has given me real-world experience that I needed to help me succeed in my future career. I have been able to work alongside my peers to problem solve and come up with meaningful ideas to help our clients and community. Additionally, I have been able to further my skills in public relations, project management, content creation and so much more.

After hearing about RaiderComm from professors and peers, I knew that this was the place for me. As a detail-oriented individual, I knew that I would be able to put my skills to use to make RaiderComm the best it could be. I also tend to be more of an introvert, so I have enjoyed getting out of my comfort zone as we work with clients.

RaiderComm has given me experience that I can add to my resume and helped me succeed in my future endeavors after college!
