Here's Our Story

Students and faculty came together to create an opportunity for students to gain more professional experience during their time at Texas Tech University.

Founded in 2010, RaiderComm Public Relations is a fully functioning, student-run public relations firm at Texas Tech’s College of Media & Communication. We offer hands-on experience with real clients, giving students the chance to take what they learn in the classroom and apply it in a professional setting.

RaiderComm works with local nonprofits, small businesses and organizations to help them find and strengthen their voice. In today’s digital age, market competition is increasingly global. Through both traditional and nontraditional public relations strategies, we help clients build a strong brand and connected community. Our goal is to help clients develop a voice that reaches from Lubbock to the global digital stage.

Today, RaiderComm operates as a full-service, student-run agency in a classroom setting, where members earn course credit for their work. After rebranding to RaiderComm, we have expanded our focus to include students from across CoMC to diversify our skill set. Members collaborate closely with multiple clients across a range of account teams. The special topics agency course is now a permanent class, and we are working toward generating client-based revenue in the future.
