College of Media & Communication

Texas Tech’s CoMC is the home of the university’s communications-related disciplines, providing a variety of academic opportunities for its faculty, staff, students and alumni. The RaiderComm team has been working closely with CoMC to increase student engagement and promote the college's 20th anniversary.

 

Buffalo Grass Fest

Buffalo Grass Fest is an annual event put on by the Lubbock Music Friendly Community Committee that aims to empower upcoming musicians through the celebration of music, education and networking.  RaiderComm has been conducting research to create a plan that will extend its outreach.

University Recreation

 UREC is TTU’s body that manages the student recreation center along with the university’s aquatics, wellness and fitness, intramural sports, outdoor pursuits and summer youth programs. Undaunted by the monumental responsibility, our RaiderComm team is researching ways to expand the promotion of UREC’s intramurals and sports clubs, helping manage social media and creating original content that increases awareness of UREC’s services. 

 

Keep Lubbock Beautiful

Keep Lubbock Beautiful is the local Keep America Beautiful and Keep Texas Beautiful affiliate. Their mission is to educate and engage citizens to take responsibility for improving our community. Our RaiderComm team is researching ways to help Keep Lubbock Beautiful promote events and volunteerism.

Tech Terrace U.N.I.T

Tech Terrace U.N.I.T is the neighborhood organization for University, 19th, Indiana and 34th streets in Lubbock, Texas. Our RaiderComm team is researching ways to help promote the organization and its 50th anniversary. 

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization. Lubbock Habitat for Humanity has built and repaired over 150 homes and provided shelter for more than 500 adults and children. Our RaiderComm team is aiming to help increase awareness of Lubbock's Habitat for Humanity by researching way to build relationships with millennials and Gen Z.

CreateAthon​

CreateAthon is a 24-hour marketing marathon in which CoMC majors participate in providing unique and creative strategies to serve local nonprofits’ communicative needs. RaiderComm has been assisting in scheduling, managing and promoting the event as well as securing food, entertainment, donations and other needs within the confines of the budget. Our team is also invested in outreach with local nonprofits that would greatly benefit from partnering with the event.
