Dr. Debbie Davis

Dr. Debbie Davis ABC, APR, Fellow PRSA, is an award-winning educator, communications practitioner, and former TV news producer. To the classroom, she brings extensive experience in corporate communications for multiple Fortune 500 companies, including Eli Lilly and Anthem. She joined Texas Tech University eight years ago as an assistant professor of practice and she primarily teaches in the online graduate program and advises the student-run agency, RaiderComm PR. Her research interests focus on student-run agencies and PR pedagogy.

Hi! My name is Samantha Jasso, and I’m from Ropesville, TX. I’m a senior majoring in public relations & strategic communication management with a double minor in sports management and creative media industries. I am the Agency Director, and I oversee the Internal RaiderComm account team. This is my third semester in RaiderComm, and I am so excited to see what new beginnings and events it will bring. A fun fact about me is that I am a first-generation student!

Kaleigh Hess-Davila,

Hello! My name is Kaleigh Hess-Davila, and I’m from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I’m a senior advertising major and am also working toward a sports media certificate. This is my second semester in RaiderComm and I have the privilege of serving as Assistant Agency Director as well as an account coordinator for University Recreation. I really look forward to working with my teams and clients. A fun fact about me is that I have been vegetarian for six years!

Travis Mack Furlow,

Hi! My name is Travis Furlow and I’m from Seminole, Texas. I’m a graduate student studying mass communication with a focus in public relations and data analytics. I am an agency executive and the account director for Public Relations & Strategic Communication Management (PRSC) and University Recreation teams. This is my fourth semester working in RaiderComm. A fun fact about me is that I am a fifth-generation West Texan, and I am Filipino. Some of my strengths are project management, event coordination, data analysis, and interpersonal communication.

Emily Chambers,
ACCOUNT DIRECTOR (TA)

Hey y’all! I’m Emily Chambers, and I’m from Lubbock, Texas. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in digital media & professional communication with minors in media strategies, public relations, and political science from the College of Media & Communication at Texas Tech University in May 2022. I am currently pursuing dual master’s degrees in mass communications and anM.B.A. from the Texas Tech graduate school. I am the account director for the Moonlight Musicals and Lubbock-Con teams and serve as a teaching assistant for the agency. Some of my strengths are interpersonal communication, active listening, and mentorship. A fun fact about me is that I have been involved at a local kickboxing gym for almost a full year!

Hi! My name is Erin Castillo, and I’m from Fort Worth, Texas. I’m a senior majoring in public relations & strategic communication management. I am the account manager for the RaiderCommInternal team. I am proud to say that I am returning to the agency for a second semester. I am excited for the opportunity to gain leadership experience and work with a talented group of individuals in the agency!

Hi! My name is Andrea Castro, and I’m from Uvalde, Texas. I’m a senior majoring in public relations & strategic communication management with a minor in human resource development. I am the account manager for Cirenas, an international nonprofit organization. This is my second semester with RaiderComm, and I’m excited to further my leadership skills and help guide newcomers. Last semester, RaiderComm helped me secure an internship with the marketing team at College of Media & Communication. After graduation, I hope to work in the beauty or fashion industry. A fun fact about me is that Spanish is my first language!

Krystal Meazell,

My name is Krystal Meazell, and I am from Abilene, Texas. I am a first-year graduate student in the CoMC M.A. in Mass Communication program. I am excited to join RaiderComm for the first time and have the pleasure of serving as the account manager for the PRSC team. PRSC was one of my majors as an undergraduate student, and I have a strong passion for this client. After graduation, I hope to work in higher education and continue gaining experience in public relations.

I am the account manager for the Texas Tech University System Public Art Collection team. Hi! My name is Haley Morrill, and I’m from Rockwall, Texas. I’m a junior pursuing a double major in communication studies and public relations & strategic communication management. I am thrilled to be the account manager for the Moonlight Musicals account. This is my second semester in RaiderComm, and I’m excited to continue learning new skills that will be applied to real-life situations. After graduation, I would love to work in the PR department for a top literary publishing house.

Hi! My name is Tara Walsh, and I’m from Double Oak, Texas. I’m a senior majoring in digital media & professional communication with a certificate in wedding and conference management. I am the account manager for the Lubbock-Con account. This is my first semester in RaiderComm, and I’m excited to learn how an agency runs and make new friends. I also serve as student recruitment assistant for the College of Media & Communication. When I’m not working, I’m usually creating content, planning events, or walking my dog, Duke.

Hi! My name is Ally Schrimsher, and I’m from Rio Rancho, New Mexico. I’m a senior majoring in public relations & strategic communication management with a certificate in sports media. I am the account manager for University Recreation. I am excited to serve as an account manager this semester, because this is my second semester in RaiderComm and I look forward to applying the skills I learned as account coordinator! A fun fact about me is that I have never been out of the country, but I look forward to traveling when I graduate. After I graduate, I would love to work as a social media manager for the Texas Rangers or as a publicist for a fashion company. I getting to connect with others and build authentic personal and professional relationships. One of my strongest skills is being futuristic and positive; I love the possibilities of tomorrow.

Kendra Burton

I’m an account coordinator for Moonlight Musicals. I am excited to work with this organization because I am passionate about supporting local fine arts communities. This is my first semester in RaiderComm, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to gain agency experience, develop professional skills, and learn from my peers. Kaydee Collins

Hi there! My name is Kaydee Collins, and I’m from Cosicana, Texas. I’m a junior double

majoring in advertising and public relations & strategic communication management with a minor in fashion merchandising. This is my first semester in RaiderComm, and I’m excited to gain hands-on PR experience. After graduation, I plan to attend law school. Outside of academics, I have a kitten named Duchess, and enjoy writing, photography, research, and storytelling through interviews.

Michael Demma

Hi! I’m Michael Demma from Flower Mound, Texas. I’m a senior majoring in public relations & strategic communication management. This is my first semester in RaiderComm, and I’m an account coordinator for University Recreation. I’m excited to grow my skills and hope to run social media for a streetwear brand after graduation. I’m personable, adaptable, and have a strong work ethic. A fun fact about me is that I’ve been in both a commercial and a magazine!

Mary Green

Hello! My name is Mary Green, and I’m from Dallas, TX. I’m a sophomore and I’m majoring in advertising in the College of Media & Communication. I am an account coordinator for the Cirenasaccount. This is my first semester in RaiderComm and I am excited to learn more about international nonprofit work! During high school, I worked at a nonprofit boutique near my house that brought awareness to suicide prevention, and I’m eager to start working with a new nonprofit!

Hi! My name is Erin Guarisco and I’m from Frisco, Texas! I'm a junior majoring in public relations & strategic communication management with a minor in advertising and a certification in sports media. This is my first semester in RaiderComm, and I’m excited to grow my skills in social media strategy and creative content as an account coordinator for the PRSC account. After graduation, I plan to work in creative content for the NFL. A fun fact about me is I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, until I was 16! Wreck ‘em!

Ashley Hendrix

Hi! My name is Ashley Hendrix, and I’m from El Paso, Texas. I am a senior majoring in public relations & strategic communication management with a minor in health professions. I am an account coordinator for the PRSC team, and this is my third semester in RaiderComm. I graduate this December and plan to pursue graduate school in the spring. I enjoy using my strengths in event preparation and project management to create successful experiences for clients.

Hailey Iannone

Hi! My name is Hailey Iannone, and I’m from Fort Worth, Texas. I’m a sophomore majoring in public relations & strategic communication management with a minor in legal studies. I’m an account coordinator on the LubbockCon team, and this is my second semester with RaiderComm! After graduation, I plan to attend Texas Tech School of Law to focus on corporate or media law. Allie Jones

Hello! My name is Allie Jones, and I’m from Grand Prairie, Texas. I’m a senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in public relations & strategic communication management. This is my first semester in RaiderComm, and I am excited to serve as an account coordinator for Cirenas, an international nonprofit. After graduation, I would like to work in a nonprofit or church organizations’ communications department, where I can apply the skills I learn during my time in RaiderComm.

Hannah Nielsen

Hi! My name is Hannah Nielsen, and I am from Fredericksburg, Texas. I am a sophomore majoring in advertising with a minor in creative media industries. I serve as an account coordinator for the Texas Tech University System Public Art Collection account. This is my first semester in RaiderComm, and I am excited to collaborate with my team while developing professional communication skills. A fun fact about me is that I enjoy working on my family’s farm during the summers!

Abi Paulsen

Hi! My name is Abi Paulsen, and I’m from Marion, Iowa. I’m a senior majoring in digital media & professional communication and minoring in public relations & strategic communication management. America Rodriguez

Hi! My name is America Rodriguez, and I’m from Houston, Texas. I’m a senior studying public relations & strategic communication management. This is my first semester in RaiderComm and I am an account coordinator for University Recreation. After graduation, I hope to pursue a career in media relations or public and government affairs, where I can use my skills to connect organizations with the communities they serve. A fun fact about me is that I lived in Angola, Africa, for three years and had the opportunity to travel the world!

Isabela Salas

Hi! My name is Isabela Salas, and I’m from Lubbock, Texas. I am a senior pursuing a major in public relations & strategic communication management. I’m an account coordinator for the internal RaiderComm team. My work ethic reflects my driven character, and I am dedicated to honing my skills by attending workshops such as the PRSA ICON conference in Washington, D.C.! Though this is my first semester in RaiderComm, I’m eager to integrate my strategic mentality and writing on my team. Following graduation, I plan to attend graduate school at Texas Tech University. One fun fact about me is I know how to play five instruments.

McKenna Smith

Kayla Stone

Hi! My name is Kayla Stone, and I’m from China, Texas. I’m a third-year journalism major with a minor in public relations & strategic communication management. I am an account coordinator for the Moonlight Musicals team. This is my first semester in RaiderComm, and I am excited to work alongside my talented peers to serve the Lubbock community. I also conduct research with the Honors College as part of Undergraduate Research Scholars and am a First Year Experience mentor.

Hi! My name is Anna White, and I’m from Abilene, Texas. I’m a senior public relations & strategic communication major. I am an account coordinator for the Texas Tech University System Public Art Collection team. This is my first semester in RaiderComm. I am very excited to apply all the skills I have learned throughout my college career to the TTUSPAC. After I graduate, I am planning on attending graduate school to pursue a master's in mass communication.

Kalyn Warren

Hi! My name is Kalyn Warren, and I’m from Wink, Texas. I’m a senior and my major is digital media & professional communication. I am an account coordinator for the Texas Tech University System Public Art Collection team. This semester, I am excited to learn new skills and become a better employee within the agency. This is my second semester in RaiderComm. My plans after graduation are to get an M.A. and M.B.A. and find a job with an agency here in Lubbock. A fun fact about me is that I love to travel. Exploring new places is my favorite thing to do. My skills consist of photography, editing photos and videos, as well as using Canva and most of the Adobe Creative Suite applications.
