Why I Joined RaiderComm

By: Addison Prater

Everyone is scared of the future, including me. Being a junior means that I have to think of internships, how to beef up my resume, gain experience and much more before going out into the workforce. While I was researching ways to become more experienced, I stumbled across RaiderComm, and I realized that it was the perfect opportunity to find the experience I was looking for.

RaiderComm will allow me to make connections with my peers and professionals in the working community. The agency provides a unique experience where you work for real clients who want your expertise and knowledge with your classmates in a professional setting. This opportunity will allow me to position myself as somebody who has the experience to back up all of the hard work I have put into my classes.

Since RaiderComm is also a class, I get hours towards my degree and real-world knowledge and skills that come with working in an agency. In this class, I hope to build upon skills I already have while developing and fostering connections in the public relations world. This program is truly a one-of-a-kind experience and is something I knew that I couldn’t pass up.

At the end of this class, I want to walk away with hands-on experience from working in an agency. This experience will give me the edge I need to be competitive in the professional world. RaiderComm is an amazing opportunity that will foster my growth as a PR professional. I am excited for this semester and all that it holds!
