Why I Chose RaiderComm

At the beginning of my Public Relations educational program, my professor invited a guest speaker to the class to inform our class about the essential qualities needed to be successful as a PR practitioner. The guest speaker couldn’t stress enough the importance of prior work experience; from then on, I knew I had found a way to gain work experience. A week later, my professor mentioned RaiderComm and encouraged students to contact her for more details.

After reaching out to my professor about my interest in the program, I learned all the benefits of RaiderComm. I learned the class would be structured like a real-world PR firm with real-world clients. I instantly saw the opportunities RaiderComm provided through their clients, working with their team members and the relationships I will be able to sustain with the clients of the program. In addition, having RaiderComm and your accomplishments on your resume will make you stand out for internship programs and future jobs more than candidates without it. Last but not least, joining RaiderComm will help you transition into your new position and relieve any stress. Since RaiderComm gives you real-world experience, you will already know how to work with a team and what to expect on the job.

I believe RaiderComm is a great program. I would suggest every student apply to be a member of RaiderComm. I can’t stress enough how beneficial the program is to students in the College of Media and Communication.
