On the first day of class, Dr. D mentioned one of our accounts is the PRSSA Bateman Case Study Competition. I had no idea RaiderComm had an opportunity like this. I have always been the girl who is looking twenty steps ahead and spreading myself thin. I was in middle school ready for high school and in high school ready for college.
I’m beginning my third and senior year of college. It’s exciting to think of the world as my oyster, but it also involves making a lot of decisions. I realized that if I'm too focused on the future, I’m not really living in the present. It’s important to feel prepared for the future, but there’s a thin line to over-commitment. I’m so excited to be in RaiderComm this semester, and I feel like I'm finally in a place where I can be content. Bateman allows me to strive for a goal, use skills I have learned in the classroom and apply them to a real-life scenario. I get to work on a team with other creative people, which is one of my favorite things to do.
Normally, it would take several opportunities to learn these skills and apply them, but RaiderComm is a one-stop shop. It’s a wonderful feeling to finally be content. I'm thankful that I found an organization where I can prepare for the future and live in the moment.
