Influencer marketing has become an essential strategy for brand promotion. With the growing number of social media influencers, the role that PR has in boosting influencer marketing campaigns is often overlooked. Combining PR with influencer collaborations can lead to amplifying brand reach, engagement and credibility.
One advantage of combining PR with influencer marketing is utilizing already established relationships. Most PR professionals already have professional relationships with journalists, bloggers and industry experts. By using these relationships brands can choose influencers whose values are like theirs. This leads to authentic relationships between the brand and influencer which draws the audience to the brand.
PR also adds another layer of depth to influencer campaigns. PR professionals work to create captivating stories that grab the attention of a target audience of a given campaign. Combining influencer content with brand narratives and stories can help reach a large audience across multiple channels. Doing this can increase brand awareness and brand loyalty.
PR also provides an added aspect of credibility to influencer campaigns. While influencers provide the brand with quality content, PR professionals can add context and credibility that help back up brand claims. PR professionals add credibility to influencer content through media placements and expert testimonials. The extra level of credibility can strengthen a brand's authenticity in influencer endorsements leading to more consumer confidence in the brand.
As a whole, influencer marketing can be more beneficial for a brand when combined with PR. By utilizing many aspects of PR with the reach of influencers, brands can create lasting campaigns that connect with the audience. Meshing PR and influencer marketing together will give brand
