As a public relations major, your capstone campaigns course can be seen as scary and very overwhelming. For most people, this course is the last push before graduating and starting out your career. Having completed this course over the summer, I can help give some advice and pointers to make completing this course feel a little better.
For starters, don’t stress about it; Live in the moment and trust everything that you have learned up until now. It may not feel like it, but you have prepared yourself more than you realize and it will all flow together naturally. This course will take up a lot of your time, so keep an open mind when it comes to planning and scheduling with your team. Communication is key; The more your team communicates, the better you will work together. Solid communication can turn this course into a very enjoyable experience that will benefit you in your future career.
Don’t be afraid to speak your mind and think outside of the box. Not every idea will be used but someone on your team might find inspiration or love your ideas. The most important part of this class is learning how to work together with your team. The closer you become to your team, the more enjoyable the class will be and the results will stand for themselves.
Even though this class can sound scary from all the rumors you hear, don’t stress about it. You’ve got this and if you follow these tips then you will succeed in this class. Good luck!
